“There’s Something About Mary”

Ada, Jen, & Mary wish to thank you for being a part of our NSMC Cancer Walk team; There’s Something About Mary. This was our team's first year, and while we had phenomenal success for our rookie year, we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of each and every one of you. To the donors, businesses contributors, friends and family and B&B guests, we are forever grateful. What started with just one firstgiving website, quickly grew to 15; all eager to channel their support for Mary by raising funds for the North Shore Medical Center.

Before the day of the walk it had been all about the numbers; 100 people walking, $11,375 raised, and of course, the t-shirt count; all in support of a cause that has touch the lives of so many battling and surviving cancer on the North Shore and beyond. But on June 21st, it was really about sharing and meeting the many folks that contributed to our team, along side all the other teams that have been supporting this event for 19 years.

Don’t we look great in our group photo! It was a soggy day for sure, but rain did not diminish this uplifting and fun time. And, even before our sneakers were dry, there was talk of walking again next year. Of course, we’ll participate next year, but for a while we will enjoy the pictures and cherished memories of new friends made that day. Again, thank you for contributing to our great success. And next year, watch out GE Aviation. We have experience now!
